Xander Fauser Obituary, Death – Following a brief fight with cancer, Lyle Fauser, 66, of Bucyrus, took a ride to Heaven on his Case tractor on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Bucyrus on April 9, 1943, to Milford F. Fauser, who died, and Miriam (Gearhart) Fauser, who still resides there. Lyle graduated from Col. Crawford High School and married Nancy Tompkins on September 26, 1964, who survives.

Lyle has been a farmer his entire life. He farmed livestock, was an agricultural merchant, and worked for the Rupp Seed Company. Lyle also worked as a respected part-time associate for Wise Funeral Service for several years and has driven a truck for Bucyrus Road Materials for the past three years. May he continue to rest in the bosom of the Almighty.

He formerly served on the Landmark Board, the American Red Cross Board, the Ambulance Board, the Economic Development Committee, the Whetstone Cemetery Board, and the Regional Planning Board. Lyle was a member of the Bucyrus Community Hospital Board of Directors and the C.I.C. His father and a brother-in-law, Donn Knowlton, died before him. Pastor James Ellis will officiate at the funeral service at Woodlawn UMC on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. The funeral will be held at Whetstone Cemetery.
