William Hare Obituary, Death – William “Bill” Clifford Hare, age 84, of Ocean City, New Jersey (Formerly of Lansdowne, Pennsylvania) passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 in Marriottsville, Maryland, where he stayed with his wife at his daughter’s house. He was born on May 19, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and had lived in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania previously.
He was the husband of Barbara Selfridge Hare of Ocean City, New Jersey, and the father of James Clifford Hare (Valerie Hare) of Summerville, South Carolina, Stephen William Hare of Voorhees, New Jersey, Susan Hare Brown (James Brown), and honorary daughter Rev. Judith A. Emerson of Marriottsville, Maryland. In addition, he was the honorary father of Rev. Judith A. Emerson of Marriottsville, Maryland.
His grandchildren’s names are Jillian McVey Culp (Thomas Culp), Taylor Layne Hare, Amanda Elizabeth Brown, and Eric William Brown. He was also the grandfather of Eric William Brown. Sawyer Layne Culp’s great-grandfather was Sawyer’s great-grandfather. He was the brother of Virginia Hare Davenport of Absecon, New Jersey, and the son of the late Clifford William Hare and the late Blanche Nicholson Hare. Both of his parents passed away before him.
Bill never went a day in his life without having a dog by his side, and he regarded them as blessings from God. In fact, the majority of his dogs even had biblical names: Breezy, Rocky, Sam, Harry, Samson, Abraham, Marty, Benjamin, Orion, Andrew, Scooter, Jeremiah, Kevin, Moses, Chester, Oliver, and Harley were all members of his pack at one point or another.
