William Bowen Obituary, Death – On May 13, 2023, William P. Bowen III, age 66, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, passed away at home after experiencing a period of deteriorating health. Bill Bowen was the son of Ellen Bowen and he was born in Arlington. Somerville is where he spent his childhood and received his education. Bill was a huge music fan throughout his life and, when he was a teenager, he played in a rock band called Jovan.

In his later years, when he had white hair and a beard and was affectionately referred to as “Ho Ho” by his niece Krista, he was a kid at heart and he enjoyed spending time with children. His collection of guitars was one of his most treasured belongings, and he never stopped playing throughout his life since he found so much happiness in making music.

In addition to his mother, Bill is survived by his children, Monica and Billy, as well as his sisters; Debbie Doyle and her husband John of North Reading, along with their children Mike and Krista; Patty Travison and her husband Mark of Franklin, Virginia, along with their children Tracy and Cheryl; Denise of Stuart Draft, Virginia, and her son Manny; Diane, who passed away before Bill, and her son Kaleb; Cindy of Westford.

On Saturday, June 17th, relatives and friends are welcome to stop by the Cota Funeral Home, located at 335 Park St. in North Reading, Massachusetts, between the hours of 11am and 12pm to pay their respects to the family. There will be a funeral service at twelve in the afternoon. After the funeral, the interment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery in North Reading. Donations to the American Lung Association can be made in lieu of flowers at the memorial service honoring Bill’s life.
