Wilbert Dempster Obituary, Death – With heavy hearts, I must inform you that Pastor Wilbert Dempster has died. I am deeply saddened by your loss. I’m making this announcement on behalf of Pastor Malcolm Duncan, the Church Session, and the congregation to thank you all for your support. Pastor Dempster’s life and ministry, as not only a gifted preacher but also a humble servant of God, had a profound impact on the lives of a large number of people and will be remembered for many years to come.
During his service in Dundonald Elim, he served as Senior Pastor for a significant amount of time. We are grateful for the various ways he served God across our denomination, particularly in the fellowships in Rathfriland, Coleraine, Ballymoney, Beersbridge Road, and Portadown, in that order. These localities are listed in the order that they were founded. Pastor Dempster and his wife, Sylvia, have been married for over sixty years.
Please remember Sylvia, her husband Paul, and their daughter Angela, as well as all of their spouses, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, in your thoughts and prayers. Please put all of their children and great-grandchildren in your thoughts and prayers as well. He will be laid to rest on the following Sunday, May 28th. Following the conclusion of the private funeral rituals, a Thanksgiving Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the Ballymoney Elim Church.
