Wayne Lubas Obituary, Reading PA, 59 Years Old Wayne Lubas has Died

Wayne Lubas Obituary, Death –¬†Wayne D. Lubas, 59, Spring Twp., died suddenly at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center on Saturday, June 3, 2023. He was the loving husband of Kathy A. (Wiegand) Lubas. They married on October 27, 1990 and shared more than 32 years of beautiful marriage. Born in Reading, he was the son of Frederick Lubas of Reading and the late Dorothy (Kindlick) Lubas and stepson of the late Annette (Tomlinson) Lubas.
Wayne graduated from Catholic High School in 1981 with honors and from Millersville University with a BA in Business Administration in 1984.

He worked as a Prudential agent for 27 years until his retirement in 2017. He also worked as a salesman for the Reading Phillies for 41 years and was known to friends and family as “The Beer Man.” His sales didn’t stop at Reading, he traveled the East Coast selling various sporting events and concerts, including the World Series and the Super Bowl.
Wayne enjoyed all sports. The Central Catholic football and wrestling standout continued his passion by serving as a PIAA football referee for 30 years and supporting sports teams large and small; From the Dallas Cowboys to the Western Lawn Owls.

But most importantly, he watched his children play the sports they loved. Above all, he will be remembered as a wonderful and loving husband, father, brother, son and friend. In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his children, Chelsea N. Klingle, married to Randy Klingle, Pottstown, and Austin D. Promise, fiancé of Olivia Kreider, West Reading; her grandson, Reagan C. Klingle; his brother, Larry M. Lubas and partner, Angelina Longo, Reading; and his half-sister, Dawn Hossler.
