Tyler Burd Obituary, Death – Tyler Edward “Burd Man” Burd, who was a resident of Otsego, Michigan, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013. On September 16th, 1996, Tyler was born in Plainwell. The day of his birth is also significant. Because of his interest in building BMX bikes, repairing small engines, going fishing, and deer hunting, he has been thinking about pursuing a job with the Department of Natural Resources.

Tyler was a man who had a large heart and worked really hard each day. He also put in a lot of effort. He assisted many of his neighbors by clearing snow from their walkways and mowing their lawns. Survivors include his parents, Tara (Scott Meisterheim) Belcher, Gary (Heather) Burd both of Otsego; step-father, Trent Szymanowski of Plainwell; siblings, Trey Szymanowski of Plainwell, Daelan and Hailey Burd of Otsego; grandparents, Jim(Nancy) Belcher of Gulliver, Jerry (Cheryl) Burd of Otsego; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

On Friday, September 27, 2013, from three to six in the evening, friends are welcome to meet with his family at the Winkel Funeral Home in Otsego. The visitation will take place on Friday. Tim Secord will serve as the officiant for the memorial ceremony that will be conducted in Otsego High School’s gymnasium on Sunday, September 29, 2013, at one o’clock in the afternoon. The service will be place on September 29, 2013. If any of you have any form of camouflage that you can wear in honor of Tyler, please don’t be afraid to do so and don’t hesitate to do so if you do. The Otsego High School Woods and Water Club is accepting memorial contributions, and they can be donated in Tyler’s honor. These contributions will be put toward supporting the club in some way.
