Todd Maisch Obituary, Illinois Chamber of Commerce President And CEO Has Died

Todd Maisch Obituary, Death –  Todd Maisch, the president and CEO of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, passed away on Thursday at the age of 57. State officials sent their sympathies. The comptroller of Illinois, Susana Mendoza, expressed her “heartbreak” at the news and hailed Maisch as a champion who worked to bridge divides.

In a statement, Democratic Party spokesman Mendoza said that “his departure leaves such a void in Illinois.” He worked very hard to create partisan solutions for growing Illinois businesses. He realized that we are all involved in this. I value the time I spent talking to his board and listening to him. Republicans and Democrats across the state ought to all pause today to thank Todd Maisch for his support of Illinois companies. Don Tracy, the chairman of the Illinois Republican Party, called Maisch a champion of the business sector.

He spent his entire career working to strengthen small businesses, implement sensible legislation that boosted local economies, and lessen the unnecessary constraints that Illinois businesses and employers must bear, Tracy said. In 1994, Maisch began working with the state chamber, and in 2014, he was named president and CEO.

He is a native of Peoria and has degrees in business administration from Illinois State University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He and his wife Kim, with whom he had two children, resided in Springfield. There were no immediate updates regarding his passing.
