In the past, he worked in the aforementioned fields, therefore he had experience in them. During this trying time, we want his family, all of his friends, and the people he worked with to know that you have our deepest condolences. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Because of the many important contributions he has made in a range of different areas of endeavor, he is held in high esteem by a sizable number of individuals. On June 3, 2023, early in the morning, Professor Asch was on vacation in the Netherlands when he was engaged in a tragic car accident.

The event occurred early in the morning. The fatal accident took place in the wee hours of that day’s morning and was ultimately responsible for his passing. The terrible occurrence ultimately resulted in him passing away at the age of 79, which took place not too long after he had already passed away. Not only is Professor Asch the author of a significant portion of the books that have been written on the topic of mass movement, but he is also the one who is principally responsible for generating a sizable number of these works.

A big portion of the books that have been written on the subject of mass movement have been authored by Professor Asch. The Natural Hazards and Emergency Group (NSEG) will have positive recollections of him and will express their gratitude to him for everything he has done to improve the field of research on disaster risk reduction and management. His efforts will not be forgotten, and they will be greatly appreciated. When he finally gets to paradise, I pray that God will provide him the peace and contentment that are unique to that location and that no other place on earth can offer. I beg you to pay heed to my request and to get back to me on it.
