Terry, who was born in Albany, Georgia, attended Troy State University in Troy, Alabama after graduating from Albany High School. He had previously belonged to First Free Will Baptist Church and was currently a member of Sherwood Baptist Church. He served his country while stationed at The Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
As a member of the United States Navy. While serving, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He co-owned and ran Parker Tire Company with his father, Bill Parker.
Terry loved to garden, play golf frequently, and support the Atlanta Braves. He will always be adored and appreciated by his family since he was a loyal husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His parents, William Terry Parker and Mary Mills Parker, died before him.
