Steve Meisner Obituary, Death – It will be upsetting and painful for all of you to read the news that we are forced to communicate with you all, just as it is shocking and difficult for us to write. Following a very brief illness, Steve Meisner, a very well-known and well-loved artist who had won multiple awards over his career, has passed away. It is with tremendous shock and sadness that we must relay this news. Steve’s age was 62 at the time. Despite the fact that Steve gave his final performance on stage on May 21st, he found out the following week that he was being diagnosed with stage IV cancer in many spots.
Steve and his family were taken aback to an unbelievable extent. On the afternoon of June 1st, Steve died away quietly in Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. This was before any effective treatment could even be explored for him. Alongside his daughters Whitney and Lindsey, as well as his son Austin, he had the comfort of his wife of 38 years, Barb, by his side. The funeral and other preparations have not yet been made, but details will be shared here as soon as they are able to be arranged. We know that you are all going to be shocked by the news because Steve was well-known and liked by so many people. The family requests privacy at this time as they struggle to come to terms with such a tragic and unexpected loss.
One thing that everyone agrees is a given is that Steve would have wanted the show to continue after he passed away. The Meisner Band is set to give a number of performances over the remaining months of 2023. Core members of the Meisner Band have committed to collaborating with a wide variety of events and venues in order to satisfactorily complete these contracts. The final concerts of Steve’s Band will be carried out by a collection of guest artists; however, it is impossible to find anyone with the same level of talent as Steve, therefore this is a necessary step. We are convinced that this is exactly what Steve would want because, ever since he was a youngster, he has devoted his life to entertaining audiences as his primary source of income.
