Scott Mayes Obituary, Death – At the age of 63, Scott Duane Mayes, who had been a well-known hairstylist in the Tulsa area for many years, passed away on May 26, 2023. On December 22, 1959, he arrived into this world in Pryor, Oklahoma. The Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, California, provided Scott with the education and training that would prove to be extremely beneficial to him throughout his whole life.
Scott was known to brighten the faces of those around him thanks to his generous nature and hilarious sense of humour. He had a reputation for being quite obstinate at times, but in spite of this, he was liked by everyone. Scott cherished nothing more than spending time with his loved ones, especially in the kitchen, where he indulged his passion for cooking. Being a father to his much-loved poodles brought him the greatest satisfaction in life.
Scott’s father, Lawrence Mayes, lives in Vinita, Oklahoma. His sister, Gayla Anderson, and her husband, Danny, live in Pryor, Oklahoma. Scott’s niece Rachael Anderson and her partner Kimberly Mabbott live in Bentonville, Arkansas. Scott’s nephew Chad Anderson lives in Fort Collins, Colorado. Scott also has a great-nephew named Brooks Mabbott and a great-niece named Hayden Anderson.
His mother, Patricia Mayes, and his lover, Paul Freymuth, both passed away before to his passing. In remembrance of Scott’s life, a memorial service will be held on June 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pavilion located at 447696 E. 355 Road, Vinita, Oklahoma-74301. The service will be held in his honour. Everyone who knew the deceased, including family and friends, is welcome to attend the funeral service. Donations to the Tulsa chapter of the Animal Rescue Fund (ARF) can be sent in lieu of flowers.
