Roy Hart alumnus Brett Decker Obituary, Death – Roy-Hart grad Construction injuries killed Brett Decker this week. Gasport and Middleport people mourned his death on Facebook. According to his obituary, you can aid his family: Brett Kenneth Decker, 45, of Middleport died unexpectedly on June 7, 2023. Nancy and Larry Decker had him in Lockport on July 7, 1977. Brett was happy to have loved and supported Trudy for over 20 years.

Brett loves camping and golfing with his son, Tagen. Brett cared for Arie’s horses and attended her events. Brett loved and lived with Malika, his niece but more like a daughter. He taught and learned from his children. Everyone appreciated his humor. He teased people in a lighthearted way. Brett cheered loudly for his kids on the RBM high school hockey team and Batavia Ramparts. He ran Brett Excavating for 20 years and met many people.

Luca was his accomplice and constant companion. Brett was Mr. Fix-It, as the adage goes, “A jack of all trades, master of none but often times better than a master of one”. Brett loved his family and friends, and they will always remember him. His father, grandparents, relatives, and close friend Jeff Strothmann preceded him. Brett is survived by his wife of 20 years, Trudy; children Tagen (Patience Bacon), Arie, and Malika Lance; mother Nancy Decker; siblings Dan (Beth) Piekarsky, Lori (Stuart) Pollack, Amy Decker, Nicole Decker; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Brett’s family will accept visitors on Sunday, June 11th from 12:00-4:00pm at Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport, NY 14105. The Middleport Fire Hall, 28 Main St., will host his funeral on Monday at 11:00. Cemetery: Royalton Mountain Ridge. Brett’s family can receive memorial donations for his children’s education.
