Ron Hylton Obituary, Death – Carole Bolt Hylton, a devoted FCS teacher and elementary principal in the school’s early days, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at the age of 81, and is now with the Lord. It is with deep regret that we relay this news. She is survived by her second husband, Ron Hylton, of Waynesboro, Virginia; her sons, Brian Bolt and his wife, Pam, and Steven Bolt and his wife, Stephanie; two grandkids, Ethan and Peyton Bolt; and her brother, Dr. Barry Whitehead.
In addition, she is survived by her second husband, Ron Hylton. Her parents were the ones that passed away before her, and her first husband, Paul Bolt, who passed away in 2009, also came before her in death. Carole received her high school diploma from Thomas Jefferson in Richmond, Virginia in 1960 and her college degree from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia in 1964.
Carole and her husband Paul were members of the New Life in Christ Church in Fredericksburg, which was located near their home. She spent the first 26 years of her career as a teacher at Fredericksburg Christian School, where she later became the principal of the primary school. When she moved to Waynesboro, Virginia in 2007, she became a member of the Wayne Hills Baptist Church.
It was in the Sunday School class at that church that she met her second husband. Carole cherished her family with all of her being and counted herself extraordinarily fortunate to have them in her life. At Henry Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the family will be present to greet and pay their respects to friends. On the first Thursday in June of 2023, at one o’clock in the afternoon, the Reverend Dr. Jamie McClanahan will preside over a funeral service that will be held at Wayne Hills Baptist Church. At a later time, the interment will take place at the Culpeper National Cemetery.
