Rodney Floyd Obituary, Death – Saying farewell to someone we love and appreciate is never easy. Rodney Floyd (Gastonia, North Carolina), who passed away on June 1, 2023, must be farewelled by his loved ones. You can share your condolences with the family by writing in the accompanying guestbook.

He was treasured and loved by a lot of people, especially his parents, Mae Smith, and Charles Floyd. Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Gregory Funeral Service (315 S Chestnut St, Gastonia, NC 28054), will host a viewing. At the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church (1875 State Rd S-46-27, Clover, SC 29710) on Monday, June 5th, 2023, at 3:00 PM, a funeral ceremony will be place.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Elsie M. Floyd; sons Robert (Tina), Richard (Kristy), and Terry Lynn (Rodney); brother Larry E. Floyd; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews are also left to care for Rodney. He was preceded in death by his brother Gordon H. Floyd, son Timothy A. Floyd, and Christina D. Veltri, his first-born granddaughter.

On Monday, October 17, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., relatives and friends are invited to call at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. The Rev. Ed Hackett will preside over a celebration of life service on Monday at 1 PM at the funeral home. Rodney and his son Timothy will then be buried at Union Rural Cemetery in Mayfield, New York.

Donations to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, New York 12078, may be donated in Rodney’s memory in place of flowers.
