Robert Veniott Obituary, Death – Robert “Bob” Veniott, 76, a resident of Amherst, Massachusetts, passed away on May 31, 2023, at his home while he was surrounded by his loved ones and it is with a heavy heart that this sad news must be shared. He was the son of the late Otto D. and R. Eileen (Rector) Veniott and was born in Springhill. His mother passed away before he was born.
Bob’s very first job was with Casey Ford, located in Amherst. After working for a while at the A. H. Brown Funeral Home in Springhill, he joined Brown’s Ambulance Service to become certified as a paramedic, and after that, he found himself working at EHS. Many persons who were just getting their start in the field of paramedicine looked up to Bob as a guide. He put in a significant amount of time working for the Springhill Fire Department and became an honorary member of that organization in addition to a number of different motorcycle clubs.
Bob was able to accomplish anything he set his mind to and was successful at it. He never failed to lend a helping hand to anyone who was struggling and maintained his composure while doing so. He looked forward to nothing more than taking his closest pals on a cross-country journey on their motorcycles.
Bob will be greatly missed by his family, which includes his wife of 24 years, Linda Arenburg of Amherst; son Danny (Stacey) of Woodstock, Ontario; daughter Heather (Gerald); grandchildren James, Erin, Brooke, and Lynsey; stepchildren Michael (Linda) Black of Rimbey, Alberta; and Mark (Taryn) Black of Amherst; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bob’s grandparents, his brother Maynard, and a granddaughter named Macy Gallagher all passed away before him. I pray that he may discover the way to save his soul.
