Pete Stewart Obituary Death – We regret to tell members that Pete Stewart passed away this morning at an early hour. Pete will be a huge loss to the club, both on the course and as a huge personality off the course. Pete’s bowling skills were among the best, as evidenced by the club’s nine championship victories and the fact that he won no fewer than six awards the previous season.
Always encouraging of both new and young club members as well as the more seasoned ones.
A tragic loss for the club and the neighborhood. We are all thinking of Ann, Morag, and the entire family. Pete began working in the oil and gas industry at Placid Oil Company as a switcher in the production department at the Black Lake facility
And he later worked as a production superintendent for Chesapeake Energy. He was an honest man who loved his friends, family, and religion. He valued putting forth a lot of effort and helping others. Pete loved to hunt and fish and was an active sportsman.
He cherished his experiences of turkey and deer shooting and eagerly anticipated his annual fall journey to Kansas to bow hunt with his close friends. For 42 years, Pete was wed to Diane Williams Stewart, the love of his life. Travis Stewart, a son, was born to him in Natchitoches, and Natalie Waldrep, a daughter, was born to him in Benton, Louisiana. Conner has four grandsons.
