Paulina Jesús Obituary, Death – The second of July 1924, all the way up until the sixth of June 2023
On June 6, 2023, Paulina Ortz de Jess, age 98, of Hamden, Connecticut, and formerly of New Haven, Connecticut, passed away in the comfort of her own home. She was a former resident of New Haven, Connecticut. Gilberto de Jes, whose passing was announced recently, had a devoted wife in this person.
Paulina’s birthday is July 2nd, and she was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, in 1924. She was the daughter of Savero Ortz, who had passed away, and Gumercinda Robles, who had also passed away in recent years. Both of her parents have since passed away. She made New Haven her permanent home in 1950 and remained there for seventy-three years before moving to Hamden two months ago.
During that time, New Haven was her home. She lived in New Haven for the entirety of her first year there. She is survived by a sister named Carmela Ortz who resides in New York City, twenty-two grandchildren, one of whom was her particular granddaughter named Mirta Pullen who resides in Hamden, thirty-three great-grandchildren, thirty-two great-great-grandchildren, and a large number of other relatives, friends, and extended family members.
She also leaves behind a large number of great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter who was named Rose Marie Santiago, two sisters who were named Primitiva and Aurora Ortz, five brothers who were named Juan, Arturo, Jorge, Nicolas, and José Antonio Ortz, four grandchildren who were named Ricardo Santiago, Jr., José Santiago, Jr., Edwin Santiago, and Jodi Russell Santiago, and one great-grandson who was named Edmund Jackson, Jr.
