Paul Gordon Obituary, Death – We are shocked and deeply sorry to learn about Paul Gordon’s demise. Paul was a fantastic person and had a significant impact on the development of local grassroots football in the area over a number of years. We are thinking about Rob, Alex, and the rest of the family at this time. In his senior year of college, the Presbytery of Donegal appointed him to the position of student pastor at Toughkenamon Presbyterian Church, which is located close to Kennett Square.
After completing his studies at the seminary, the congregation appointed him as its first full-time pastor in half a century. at 1963, he received a call to serve as the minister of the Lycoming Centre Presbyterian Church at Cogan Station, which is located close to Williamsport. After his loving wife of forty-two years, Faith Anne (née Pedrick), passed away in 1997, he retired from the cherished congregation that he had served for thirty-four years and started working as a chaplain at Forrest Park Health Center in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
In 1999, he relocated to Paradise, Pennsylvania, and continued to serve as a supply pastor at the Toughkenamon church up until November 2011. He was appointed as the first chaplain of the Long Community in Highland, Lancaster, in March of 2014, and he remained in that role for a total of eight years.
He finished his ministry of 75 years of preaching the gospel while he was a resident at Loris Rehab and Nursing in Loris, South Carolina, where he also lead worship. At the Bellevue Presbyterian Church in Gap, Pennsylvania, there will be a service that focuses on praise and worship.
