Noel Gartlan Obituary, Fr. Noel Gartlan Has Passed Away

James Hedrick Obituary,

Noel Gartlan Obituary, Death –  We are sorry to inform you that Fr. Noel Gartlan, CSsR, passed away at 4:11 p.m. today, June 6. This information is being conveyed to you with a deep sense of regret on our part. His final days were spent at the Holy Redeemer Provincial Center in Cebu City, and it was there, in his room, that he died away in a calm and dignified manner.

We are in a situation of melancholy owing to the passing of a dearly loved confrere who was someone who had a raging zeal for the promotion of mission, the encouragement of vocation, and the growth of others. His passing has caused us to be in a state of mourning. A significant number of people’s lives were profoundly altered as a result of his influence. He was 87.

It has been 61 years since he began serving the community in a priestly capacity, and 68 years since he began doing so in a Redemptorist one. It was in 1962 when he first arrived in the Philippines after having recently been consecrated as a priest, and he spent the remainder of his life dedicated himself to the service of the Philippine church and its mission. His first arrival in the Philippines came after he had recently been consecrated.

Because he has discharged the obligations that come with his position as a Redemptorist in such a selfless manner, we owe him a debt of gratitude for the work that he has done. To everyone, it would mean a great deal if you could keep Fr. Noel in your thoughts and prayers. Please consider doing so. I hope and pray that he will be at rest for the rest of eternity.
