Nguon Ha Car Accident, Death – A Kansas man who was killed in a two-vehicle crash south of Minot shortly before noon Saturday, May 6, has been identified. The North Dakota Highway Patrol reported Nguon Ha, a 32-year-old from Wichita, Kansas, who was driving a 2015 Infiniti Q45, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Highway 83, about 14 miles south of Minot.

Two women and a juvenile female in a 2020 Toyota Highlander SUV, all of whom live at Minot Air Force Base, suffered minor injuries, the Highway Patrol said. According to the report: About 11:39 a.m., the Toyota, driven by Brooklyn Lautt, 25, was southbound on Highway 83 near mile marker 183, while Ha was traveling north. Ha turned to go west on Highway 23, and the Toyota struck the Infiniti.

Both vehicles came to rest in the west ditch, and Ha’s vehicle was engulfed in flames. Lautt and her passengers, Elizabeth Greiner, 22, and the juvenile who had been in a car seat, were transported to Trinity Health in Minot by ambulance for treatment of their injuries. The weather was cloudy and road conditions were good at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
