Muriel Gilbert Obituary, Death – Muriel Frances Gilbert, a resident of Talladega, Alabama, passed away on June 5, 2023, while peacefully resting in her sleep in the city of Greenville, Kentucky, in the state of Kentucky. She was 98 years old at the time of her death.
Muriel’s parents, Hubert O. and Bertha C. Williams, as well as her husband of 58 years, William Walter Gilbert, as well as her infant son, William Jerald Gilbert, as well as her brothers, Hubert Williams Jr. and Charles Williams, all passed away prior to Muriel’s passing. William Walter Gilbert was Muriel’s spouse of 58 years.
Muriel is survived by her daughters, Patricia Owens (Jack), Janice Vincent (David), Cheryl Stevens (Rick), and Deborah Owen (Tommy); grandchildren, Stacey Grayson, Laura Barfield, Molly Smith, Brett Owens, Duane Owens, Deke Owens, Amy Petrie, Timothy Vincent, Leslie Wray, Jeff Stevens, Ashley Powell, and Mathew Owen; 18 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Kinsey Heath. Muriel was born on April 4, 1925 in the town of Lineville, Alabama; however, the majority of her youth was spent in the neighborhood of Bemiston, which is located inside the city of Talladega.
