Matthew Piontkowski Obituary, Matthew Piontkowski Has Died

Matthew Piontkowski Obituary, Death – The loss of Lieutenant Firefighter/Paramedic Matthew Piontkowski has left the family of the Middle Island Volunteer Fire Department (MGCFD) inconsolable. This morning, Matt’s fight with cancer came to an end, and he will no longer have to endure any further pain.

Throughout his career, he left an indelible mark on everyone he came in contact with by acting as a brother, a mentor, a friend, and a coworker to a great number of first responders in the counties of Horry and Georgetown. He will be profoundly missed, but he will not be forgotten. It would mean a lot if you could keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
Lieutenant Piontkowski, you’ve earned your rest; from here on out, we’ll handle things. Even though we understand that death is an inevitable part of life, we are never prepared to part ways with a loved one for good. No one ever wants to experience the pain of losing a loved one since the resulting feeling has the potential to pull people apart and is challenging for everyone. When one expresses sorrow or condolences, the intention is to convey as much compassion, care, and connection as possible with the grieving person. In circumstances that are so fraught with sensation, it might be challenging to articulate how you are truly feeling.
