Marlene Stevens Obituary, Death – Marlene Stevens, who was 84 years old and lived in Princeton, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Princeton Nursing & Rehab. Marlene was a faithful attendee of the services of Midway Baptist Church. She has an unwavering devotion to her family. She cherished the time she could spend with her grandchildren, as well as her great-grandchildren. Later in life, Marlene loved traveling.
Caldwell County, North Carolina was the location of Marlene’s birth on October 13, 1938. Her parents, Hayden Mitchell and Virginia Reddrick Mitchell, have since passed away. She is survived by her daughters Marsha Morris of Caldwell County and Teresa Jenkins of Princeton, both of whom are married to men named Melvin; her sons Homer Stevens, Jr. of Eddyville and Ralph Stevens, who is married to a woman named Robin; her sisters Marcella Carr of Mayfield, Glenda Culver of Princeton, Judy Hargrove of Cadiz, and Gloria Coleman of Princeton.
Her grandchildren Melvin Jenkins, Jr., Amy Nicole Ensley, Josh Morris, Ginny Her son, Hayden Ervin Stevens, as well as her sisters Ruby McBride and Shirley Flood, passed away before her. Her parents were also among those who came before her in death. Visitation will take place at Morgan’s Funeral Home on Monday, June 12, 2023, beginning at 11:00 am and continuing until 1:00 pm. On Monday, June 12, 2023, at one o’clock in the afternoon, funeral services will be performed at Morgan’s Funeral Home, with Bro. Roger Mitchell serving as the officiant. The final resting place will be at Blue Spring Cemetery in Caldwell County after the funeral.
