Mark Billington Obituary, Death – It is with deep sorrow that we learn of Mark Billington’s demise. He attended public schools in the city of Bath all throughout his education and graduated from Morse High School in 1979 to earn his diploma. He took part in a wide range of sporting activities, including football, baseball, and basketball games. Mark attended the University of Maine in Orono to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering.
After that, he was employed by B.I.W. for a period of time, and then he went to work for Gibbs and Cox after that.
In September of 2005, Mark received the news that he had a brain tumor for the very first time. He never complained about anything, and he dealt with the difficulty of the situation with dignity and humor.
He would spend his weekends at the Bath Country Club, of which he was a member, participating in the “Billa” game and taking pleasure in the company and camaraderie that were produced by the activity. Mark and his father coached fifth- and sixth-grade travel basketball teams together for a number of years while they were both working as travel basketball coaches.
He is survived by his sister Donna L.B. Moreau, her husband James, and their children Dylan and Luke, both of Phippsburg; his brother Michael G. Billington, also of Bath; and his parents, Robert and Arlene Billington, of Bath. He was predeceased by his sister Donna L.B. Moreau. His parents and brother Michael G. Billington also passed away in Bath. You are welcome to send memorial contributions in his name to CHANS Home Health Care, which may be found at 60 Baribeau Drive, Brunswick, Maine 04011.
