Kay Matuschka Obituary, Death –

Kay Matuschka who passed away on May 17, 2023, was a resident of Baton Rouge for the majority of his life, despite having been born in Opelousas. He was known by his nickname “KK.” Baton Rouge was where he had been a resident for a sizeable chunk of his life. In Baton Rouge, where he had made his home for a good number of years, he was to be found devoting a sizeable portion of his life.

He was 89 years old and had the opportunity to think back on his life at that point. After having served his country as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy during World War II, he later resigned from the United States Naval Reserve after having served in that branch of the military. After having served in the United States Naval Reserve, he retired. As a token of appreciation for his service, many decorations were presented to him.

It was in the year 1960 when he first launched his own firm as a manufacturer’s representative, and he kept working in that capacity all the way up until the year 1997, when he eventually made the decision to retire from the industry. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst East on Thursday, April 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. It will then move to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on Friday, June 2, at 9 a.m. and continue there until the funeral services begin at 10 a.m.

It was decided that the Greenoaks Memorial would be the best venue for the burial, therefore that is where it will take place. Due to the significant amount of support and devotion that Kathleen and Drema from Hospice in His Care have provided over the past few weeks, they are deserving of special attention and gratitude, and it is because of them that this acknowledgment and gratitude is extended to them. Kathleen and Drema have shown an incredible amount of dedication and support over the course of the previous three weeks.
