June Dryden Obituary, Death – On the morning of June 10, 2023, June Whiddon Dryden, who was 85 years old and originally from Waycross, Georgia, passed away at Harborview Satilla. She had been enduring the effects of an illness for a considerable amount of time prior to her passing away from it. Mrs. Dryden spent her entire life in the city of Waycross, Georgia, which is also the location where she was born and reared.
She never moved elsewhere. Both of Jessie Belvie Whiddon and Georgie Vilee Aldridge Whiddon’s parents had passed away before their daughter was born, thus they never got to see their granddaughter. After receiving her diploma from Waycross High School in 1956, she went on to enjoy a prosperous career as a Registered Nurse after completing her education at the high school level.
She worked as a nurse in the obstetrics and gynecology departments of the Waycross Hospital in Waycross, Georgia. In addition to that, before she retired from that position, she worked at the Satilla Regional Medical Center, as well as the clinics run by Dr. Lewis and Dr. Lynch, as well as the clinic owned by Dr. Al Davis. Because she had a large family, she spent a lot of her time traveling, exploring new places, and preparing delicious meals for her loved ones.
Mrs. Dryden was a regular attendee of the Grace Sunday School Class held at Central Baptist Church, where she participated actively as a member of the class’s teaching staff. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four of her siblings: Joyce Lindon, Roger Whiddon, Charles Whiddon, and Terry Whiddon. Her siblings all passed away before she did. Her grandparents were also taken from this world before she was. The first members of her family to die away were her parents.
