John Gagliardi Obituary, Co-Founder of Collingswood Business Association has died

John Gagliardi Obituary, Death – A few words from the Mayor of Collingswood Borough, Jim Maley, regarding the passing of a beloved community member: “Yesterday in Collingswood, the winds were quieted down a bit. Our community has been dealt a significant blow by the absence of an essential elemental power. It was announced yesterday that John Gagliardi had passed away.

For the benefit of those of you who may not be familiar with John, both he and his wife Marlene ran successful companies for more than half a century on Haddon Avenue. John was an original member of the Collingswood Business Association, which was the first association of local businesses and the forerunner of the Collingswood Business Improvement District. John’s involvement in this group helped pave the way for the creation of the Collingswood Business Improvement District.

Even during challenging times in the 1970s, 1980s, and even into this millennium, he worked ceaselessly to make Collingswood a little bit better every day. He was Collingswood’s most effective publicist, and he tried to make Collingswood a little bit better every day. He had an important role in developing the idea for the May Fair event.
During this trying time, the residents of our little Borough would like to offer their most sincere condolences to his wife, Marlene, as well as to his daughters and the rest of his wonderful family. The doggedness and effort that John put in over the years made it possible for our town to develop into everything that it is today. A legendary and potent component of the natural world.
