Joan White Obituary, Death – The death of Joan Ann White, whose maiden name was Hay, took place in Montreal on January 4, 2023. She was 88 years old. She had been a resident of Montreal since 1970, but she was born in Toronto on July 24, 1934. Geoffrey Brooks White, Joan’s husband, passed away before she did. She is survived by her children Scott (Hilary), Stephen (Andrea), and Gayle White, in addition to a large number of nieces and nephews. She was known as “Nana” to her granddaughters Amy and Alison, and they adored her.
Everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing Joan will miss her tremendously due to the kind and giving nature she had throughout her whole life. Donations can be sent in her memory to JDRF Canada, which was formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Canada. Donations can be made at www.jdrf.ca. It has been decided that there will be no funeral service in accordance with her desires; nevertheless, there will be a private memorial gathering conducted in Toronto later on in the spring.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals at Mount Sinai and Royal Victoria hospitals for the care and assistance they provided Sophie during her illness.
