You might remember J. G. Cunningham from the time he spent working as a painter and decorator in the town, or from the time he spent as an avid golfer on The Links. Both of these occupations took place in the town. After all of these years, J. G. Cunningham is acknowledged within the community of Recreation Park as a person who has played an essential role in the neighborhood and who has persisted over time.
Because we have a photograph of Jim staring squarely into the camera, we are able to deduce that he frequently attended athletic events not just with his family but also with a significant number of his friends. This is because the photograph was taken when Jim was looking directly into the camera. In the photograph that was shot, Jim can be seen to be there for the event that was captured.
Despite the fact that Jim had been battling with health concerns for the better part of the previous season, all of the employees who work at The Rec are in a state of shock and disbelief as a result of his passing.
