Jeff Simla Obituary, Death – Jeff Simla will be remembered at his funeral and memorial services. It is with a heavy heart that we have to share the news that on the morning of May 27th, our former executive pastor Jeff Simla passed away suddenly. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. This is a very unfortunate announcement to have to make, and we sincerely apologize.
Jeff was a loving family man who had a strong affection for his wife Brenda, as well as his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He also had a profound affection for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a reliable leader who chose to avoid the limelight and carry out his duties in the background rather than seek attention for himself. He worked behind the scenes rather than in front of it. Jeff took on the responsibility of guiding the Metro Community through some of the most difficult moments in our history, and he did so in a manner that exemplified both dignity and honor in the process.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, June 3, at 1pm, at Metro Hub, located at 1265 Ellis Street in Kelowna. The purpose of the service is to celebrate his life and express grief over his passing. Kelowna is going to be the location of the service. In addition, anybody who is interested can watch the service being live-streamed online at metrocommunity.ca/events.
