Jeff Cosgrove Obituary, Death –Jeffrey H. Cosgrove, 64, of Laurel Park passed away at Elizabeth House on November 5, 2021, when he was accompanied by his family and in the midst of a calm environment. He was a native of Hendersonville, North Carolina, and the son of Dr. Kenneth and Eleanor Cosgrove, both of whom passed away before him.
It was at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where he earned his degree in Philosophy, and it was at North Carolina State University where he earned his degree in Horticulture. Between the years 1983 and 2021, he was the proprietor of Southwinds Landscape Company and also served as its founder. Because of his artistic abilities, the lives of a great number of people in this town and beyond were enriched with beauty.
Jeff was an incredible husband and father, as well as a loyal friend and guide. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dena; his three children, Cassie Cosgrove and her husband, Kara Cosgrove, and Jake Cosgrove; his grandson, Cedar Frederiksen; his four brothers, Kenneth Cosgrove and his wife, Sarilla, Timithy Cosgrove and his wife, Stephanie, Barry Cosgrove and his wife, Betsy, and Chris Cosgrove and his wife, Billie; as well as countless friends and colleagues.
