Jane Thompson Obituary, Death – Her brother Herman Lee Dantzler (Linda) and her sister Mary Anne Dantzler will be able to carry on her legacy after her death, as will her husband Charles Thompson Sr. and her children Lee Anne Thompson, Charles Thompson Jr., and Jennifer Thompson. In 1957, Jane graduated from Walterboro High School, where she had a lot of friends among her classmates. She continued her education and graduated from Walterboro High School.
She then transferred to Palmer College to finish her degree in 1958, having previously attended Brevard College. She met the man she would spend the rest of her life with, Charles Thompson, a cadet at The Citadel, for the first time in 1958. They tied the knot in 1960. After serving as an officer in the United States Army for his whole working life, Charles retired to Lexington, South Carolina, in 1981. His remaining years were spent there.
After settling in for a while, they decided to make the move to nearby Gilbert. People who knew Jane liked her because she was brave and caring, and she had a strong enthusiasm for her family, gardening, entertainment, and the arts in general.
