
James R. Cross Obituary, Death –According to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, a 38-year-old male is accused of killing a 71-year-old man with a knife in Plumas County on Saturday morning. The victim was found dead from stab wounds. At approximately 6:56 in the morning, a woman in the 600 block of Edwards Avenue called dispatch to report that someone had started a fire in her home, according to the officials of the sheriff’s department.
At the site, first responders discovered a man who had been stabbed in the chest. According to the officials, the victim of the stabbing, who has been identified as James R. Cross, passed away after he was transferred to the hospital. Officials with the sheriff’s office have determined that the individual who was apprehended to be Owen Magers. According to the officials, the Quincy Fire Department was able to swiftly confine the fire, which stopped the flames from spreading further.
