Gordon Miller Obituary, Former National Park Ranger Member Has Died

Gordon Miller Obituary, Death –  The Peak District National Park Authority along with the rest of its personnel are heartbroken to learn of the recent passing of Gordon Miller, who had served as a National Park Ranger in the past. The Peak District National Park Authority is located in the Peak District. Miller held this position for the National Park Service for a period of time.

Although Gordon was known to his employees and colleagues as a “ranger of the world,” it is likely that his influence is felt most strongly in the Peak District. This is because the Peak District is located in the United Kingdom. This is due to the fact that the Peak District was his place of employment for the most majority of his career, which stretched close to thirty years in total.

An institution that today serves as an appropriate and permanent legacy of a career spent totally dedicated to the outdoors and everyone’s opportunity to enjoy it was formed by him in the early 1990s, after he had established a truly worldwide vision of what national parks represented. This organization is today known as the National Park Foundation. He established this organization, which now serves as a fitting and enduring monument to the contributions he made during his life. As a direct result of his efforts to fulfill this goal, he established the International Ranger Federation.

It should not come as much of a surprise to find that Gordon has been referred to by other people as the “godfather to ranger organizations.”  During this difficult time, our thoughts are with Gordon’s family, friends, and many of his former coworkers. We are very sorry to hear about Gordon’s passing. We are keeping all of you in our thoughts.
