Gail Jarvis Obituary, Death – Gail Kalliope Jarvis, who lived in Harper Woods, Michigan and was 65 years old at the time of her untimely death on May 25th, passed suddenly unexpectedly. A loyal and loving mother of Michael (Annalyse), a treasured sister of Anita Kanakaris and Patricia (Tom) Barriger, and a much-loved aunt of Alex (Rachelle), Marc, and Anita Barriger. She was a dedicated and loving daughter, and she was the daughter of Patricia Kanakaris, who had passed away, and Michael Kanakaris, who had also passed away.
She will be remembered as a compassionate and altruistic person who was always ready to provide a helping hand to people who were located in her surrounding area. This trait will live on in her legacy. Her main pastimes included gardening, baking, and preparing traditional Greek food in the kitchen. She was an avid gardener. Gail worked for a significant amount of time at the Department of Labour in the state of Michigan before deciding to take early retirement. Since then, she has devoted the majority of her leisure time to working as a volunteer at the Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society.
There, she participates in the process of finding permanent homes for the animals that are housed there, and she is a part of the organisation that is responsible for finding such homes. A memorial service will be conducted the following week on Wednesday, June 7, at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home in Grosse Pointe Woods, which can be found at 20705 Mack Avenue. The event is scheduled to take place sometime between the hours of noon and two in the afternoon. Donations in the name of the deceased can be made to the Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society in lieu of sending flowers by anybody who wishes to respect the memory of the person who has passed away.
