Florence Flo Ellis Obituary, Death – We regret to notify you of the demise of Florence (Flo) Ellis, who was a faithful member of our church for a good number of years. It is with a sad heart that we share this news with you. It is with the sincerest regret that we have to proceed in this manner. Flo was fighting valiantly against a variety of various health problems, which resulted in her having to spend a number of months in the hospital.
In spite of the fact that she made advancements, she also experienced a few setbacks while she was on her journey. Flo passed away on May 31, 2018, after she had been dependent on a ventilator for the previous two weeks prior to her departure. She was surrounded by her immediate family as well as those members of her extended family who were especially close to her. During the time that everyone else was present, the recitation of the final rites was presided over by Father Daniel.
Flo was a member of the choir throughout a considerable chunk of its existence, which is considered to be an impressive accomplishment. In addition to that, she was a member of the Chancel Guild, Outreach, and Fellowship, and she visited the church once a week to take care of the plants and make sure they had enough water. Her warm and kind hospitality, razor-sharp sense of humor, and deep faith are all qualities that will be sorely missed by all of us here at St. John’s.
