Edna Brown Obituary, Death – Edna was born in Homerville, Georgia, and her parents were Rosalee McBride-Jones and William Sharpe. Edna’s birthplace was Georgia. After moving from Georgia to Florida with her family, Edna spent her youth in Jacksonville. At the time, the family lived in Georgia.

After completing her secondary education at Duval County schools, she graduated from Matthew Gilbert in 1962 and was awarded her high school diploma. In addition, she graduated from Edward Waters Colleg with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, where she had previously pursued her education. Edna was a medical assistant at the practice of Dr. Warren Schell, where she worked. She was a well-known and well-respected woman in the community.

She served as president of the tenants’ association at Hollybrook Home Apartments for a number of years, during which she also opened a country store there. Her tenure as president spanned the period in which she opened the country store. Not only that, but she enjoyed singing in her leisure time and had a voice that was reminiscent of an angel’s.

Edna Francis Coley Brown peacefully transitioned from this life into the loving arms of Jesus on the evening of May 31st, 2023, when she passed away while sleeping. Her grandmother, Rosalee Jones, her grandfather, William Sharpe, her father, Gennie Marie Johnson, her sister, Gennie Marie Johnson, her aunts Aretha Davis and Dollie Tucker, her uncles Roosevelt Andrews and Alvin Andrews, her cousins Harold Andrews, Gettie Ross, and Angelo Andrews, and her granddaughter, Latoya Butler all passed away before she did.

Her granddaughter, Latoya Butler, was the only member of her family who survived her. Latoya Butler, her daughter, is the only member of her family to survive. Her sisters Shelia Singleton and Joyce Jackson, as well as her children David Sharpe, Sr., Lisa Robinson (Sanford), Dwayne Coley, Sr., James Colley (Loretha), and Shawn Coley, Sr. (Natasha), as well as her grandchildren Christopher Smith (Shawnette), Jamie Darling (Sidique), Rica Brown (Stay), Tierra Coley, Shawntell Coley, and Dway At this time, Sarah L.
