Edith Gremley Obituary, Death – The passing of our cherished mother, Edith Gremley, is a devastating piece of news that we are compelled to share with you. Our fortunate fortune was that we were able to have a mother who was without a doubt one of the most brave women who have ever walked the face of this earth.
Over the years, Edith has had a great deal of enjoyment tending to her flower gardens and going on camping trips. In addition to being a member of the IODE, the Eastern Star, and the Saint John Ambulance, she was also a member of St. James and Saint John’s United Church. In addition to that, she served in the Saint John Ambulance for many years.
Edith Marie Gremley (Matchett), who had been the wife of the late Hudson Victor Gremley of Newcastle, New Brunswick, passed away on May 26, 2023 at the age of 93.
She had been married to Hudson Victor Gremley. Mrs. Gremley’s spouse has passed away before to her passing.
She was born in Newcastle, New Brunswick, and her parents, Andrew Matchett and Harriette Matchett, both of whom had passed away before she was born. DoraMae Matchett (Ullock), Edith’s sister, passed away before Edith did, and she is now with Edith’s parents and husband in the afterlife of the gone.
Edith is survived by her children and grandchildren: her daughter Sandra Roepke and her husband Bill, who live in the state of Maine in the United States; her son David Gremley and his wife Louise, who live in Bedford, Nova Scotia; and her grandsons Michael Gremley and his wife Liah, who live in Halifax, as well as Sara Kidd, who lives in Maine.
The memorial service will take place on June 17 at 2:00 PM, and Reverend Alice Szemok will preside over the ceremony.
The interment will take place in the Miramichi Cemetery following the conclusion of the service. Those who desire to pay their respects to Edith’s memory are asked to consider making a donation to the Miramichi Food Bank in place of sending flowers.
