David (Taff) Evans Obituary, Death – It was a very difficult moment for everyone at the club when the news that Life Member David (Taff) Evans had passed away and after the news had traveled throughout the Club. This caused a lot of anguish for everyone. The information was communicated to each individual who was a part of the Club. David has been a part of our community for a significant amount of time, spanning from its inception all the way up to the present day.
He put in a significant amount of time working as our Groundsman here at the club before he became the former Captain of our 1st XI, President of our club, and Vice President of the League. Prior to those roles, he worked here as our Groundsman. In addition to that, he held the position of Vice President of the League during that time. Since he joined the Club in the 1940s and continued to be a member until the 2000s.
He holds the extraordinary distinction of having competed for it throughout each of the club’s seven decades of existence. He joined the Club in the 1940s and remained a member until the 2000s.
