Coroner identifies woman killed after Waukegan Fatal Car Accident

Waukegan Car Accident –  A 31-year-old woman was killed after being ejected from an SUV that turned over three times and hit parked cars in Waukegan on Sunday, according to the coroner’s office. Ceslie Renaud, 31, of Waukegan, died as a consequence of blunt force trauma, an autopsy conducted on her Monday revealed, according to Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek. Around 2:15 p.m. on Sunday, the Waukegan Police Department and Waukegan Fire Department responded to Classic Kia, 425 North Green Bay Road, for a report of a car accident with injuries.

Deputy Police Chief Scott Chastain of Waukegan reported that a white 2002 Ford Explorer was moving north on Green Bay Road close to Brookside Avenue. The occupants appeared to be bickering, a witness claimed, according to a police report. The Ford, driven by Renaud, traveled into the southbound lanes of traffic before turning back into the northbound lanes of traffic. According to Chastain, the Ford overturned many times, veered off the road, and finally came to rest in the lot of the car dealership.

The parking lot of the dealership sustained damage to four parked cars. After being ejected from the SUV, Renaud was found to be unresponsive and not breathing.
