Calvin Felton Obituary, Death – According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Calvin Felton, who was originally from Hammond, was a victim of a shooting that ultimately resulted in his death. The police said that on Sunday (May 28), shortly after one o’clock in the afternoon, they received a frantic phone call notifying them of a crisis that was taking place on Martin Luther King Drive within the Village of Tangipahoa.
The location of the situation was given as being within the Village of Tangipahoa. Felton was found lying in the yard of a house as the deputies arrived on the scene. He had a gunshot wound to the stomach, which the deputies found when they found him. Following the dispatch of emergency medical services to the area, Felton was provided with aid in a timely manner. He was taken immediately to a nearby hospital, but it didn’t take long for medical staff to determine that he was no longer alive once he arrived at the facility.
