Blair Nelson Obituary, Waseca County Commissioner and Chamber Member has Died

Blair Nelson Obituary, Death – Blair Nelson served as a County Commissioner in addition to his role as a member of the Chamber of Commerce. His sudden death has rendered everyone in this office mute and unable to console one another. Blair was the kind of man who never passed up an opportunity to show his support for the neighbors he lived among. He gave his time voluntarily to a vast number of boards and organizations, particularly those whose primary aim was to aid people in Waseca County who lacked the financial resources to do so on their own. The degree of kindness that Blair displayed, in addition to the firm handshakes that he offered, was considerable.

There are going to be a lot of folks that miss having him around. During this difficult time, please remember to keep his wife Deanne and her family in your thoughts and prayers. They are doing their best to get through it. I want to take this opportunity to thank you, Blair, for everything you’ve done to better the community in which you live. In your honor, we are going to have a delicious can of Coca-Cola while it is nice and cold. Relax, my dear and trusted companion.

As a result of learning of our close friend Blair Nelson’s untimely passing, we were taken aback, and our hearts are filled with sadness. Not only did Blair’s operation of the well-known Nelson Lemonade Stand contribute to the success of the Waseca County Fair, but he also assisted us in our capacity as County Commissioner and in any other way that he could personally. We won’t ever forget him, and we won’t ever forget the devotion he had for his family, his community, and the fair. Please remember his family in your prayers and keep them in your thoughts as they work their way through this extremely difficult time in the coming days and months.
