Bill Hamm Obituary, Death – On the occasion of Bill Hamm’s passing away on June 6th, we would like to express our most sincere sympathies to his family and friends. Bill has since left us. Hamm served as the interim president of Wartburg College during the years 2008 and 2009, when the position of president at the college was unofficially vacant.

In recognition of all that he had accomplished, the educational establishment presented him with an honorary degree and an Alumni Citation in the years 1986 and 2000 respectively. It was in 1986 that he received the honorary degree, and it was in 2000 when he received the Alumni Citation. In March of this year, he was given the Wartburg Medal, which is the most recent honor that has been bestowed upon him.
