Beulah Brown Obituary, Death – At the age of 90, Beulah Lenora “Boots” Brown, who resided in Webster Springs, passed away on June 6, 2023 at her home. Beulah Payne was the daughter of the late Harrison Payne and Daisy Hicks Hatlay. She was born on August 28, 1932 in the town of Centralia, in the state of West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dencil Brown Sr.; sons Thomas and Richard Brown; and brothers Homer and Hansel Payne.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband. Beulah spent many years working as a nurse’s aide at Webster County Memorial Hospital in addition to being a member of the Barton United Methodist Church. Beulah enjoyed exploring new places, going on adventures, hunting, fishing, searching for ginseng, four-wheeling, and being outdoors. In addition to that, she was great at sewing, gardening, and crafting, and she cherished the time she spent with her family.
Surviving are her son Dencil “ Denny” (Lee) Brown, Jr of Bruceton Mills, WV; daughter Judy (Jack) Hall of Webster Springs, WV; grandchildren Jack Hall Jr of Morgantown, WV, Michelle (Charles) Rogan of Lumberport, WV, Dencil Brown III of Weston, WV, Jesseca (Shane) McClanahan of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, Nela (Nicholas) Haskiell, and Avery McQuiston; great grandchildren Megan Walker, Erika and Mia Ferris, Chase, Jasmine, and Riley McClanahan, and Gracie Haskiell.
On Saturday, June 10, 2023, at three o’clock in the afternoon, memorial services commemorating Boot’s life will be place at the Dodd & Reed Funeral Home in Webster Springs. After the service, burial will take place at Miller Cemetery. On Saturday, between the hours of noon and 3:00 PM, guests are welcome to pay their respects to the deceased alongside the family at the funeral home.
