Ashton Tafoya Obituary, Death – On March 14, 2008, Ashton Briley Tafoya was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He went to Palmetto High School and was in the Mustangs Marching Band there, where he met a lot of people who became his friends and where he was adored by everyone. Ashton have an innate talent for music and could play the trumpet in addition to the guitar.

His friends and relatives described him as having an outstanding personality, as well as a positive attitude, intelligence, and wit, and they appreciated that he was unfiltered. He was well rounded, freewheeling, and absolutely one hundred percent EPIC. He had no fear and was completely unfazed by anything. He based his entire existence on his favorite expression, which was, “Hang on, this will be fun!”

Ashton is survived by his parents, Todd and Michelle Hunsinger Tafoya; brothers, Levi Tafoya (Fort Riley, KS) and Carlos Tafoya (Hardinsburg, KY); and his sister, Skylar Tafoya, of the home. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Todd and Michelle Hunsinger. In addition, he is survived by his great grandparents Shirley Hunsinger, Howard Ison, Larry King, and Nancy Thompson; his grandparents Marty and Anna King; his aunts Sarah Howard, Jennifer Love (Doug), and Leroy and Paula Hunsinger; his cousin Abigail Love; and his nephew Michael Tafoya. He is also survived by his grandparents Marty and Anna King.

His grandfather Mike Tafoya and grandmother Marty Ruth Tafoya, as well as his grandfather Leroy Hunsinger, Sr., and his uncle Joey Howard, all passed away before him. On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, visitation will take place from three to five o’clock in the evening in The Maple Room at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center located at 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, South Carolina 29625.
