Ann Battrell Obituary, Death – Ann Battrell, MSDH, who had served as the Chief Executive Officer of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association until the day before her death on June 7, 2023, had gone away. On behalf of everyone in the association, we would like to offer our deepest condolences to those all across the world who have suffered a terrible loss. Ann, in her role as a leader, exerted an extraordinary amount of effort to eradicate health care inequities, promote the dental hygiene profession, increase the scope of dental hygiene practice, and broaden patients’ access to dental care. Ann is someone who will be remembered by us forever as someone who was a pioneer in our business, a pioneer in the innovation of our sector, and an ardent supporter of the profession that we pursue. Her physical presence will be sorely missed, but the American Dental Hygiene Association (ADHA) will continue to utilize her legacy as a compass as we go into the next century of exploration, discovery, and creation as long as her spirit is still with us.
